Muga Silk of Assam
Muga silk is known for its ultimate continuity and has a natural yellowish-golden color with a shimmering, satin texture. It was preliminarily dedicated for the use of kings. In the Brahmaputra Valley, the naiads of the Assam silkmoth feed on sweet Som and Sualu leaves. Muga silk can be bepainted after dulling. This silk can be hand- washed with its lustre adding after every marshland.
