Sikki Grass Products of Bihar
Sikki grass handicrafts are colored arts that are fabricated from a unique species of grass known as sikki found in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, India. Sikki is dehydrated and the flower head is slash off. The produced fine golden fibre is applied in weaving to produce toys, dollies, and baskets( dolchi). Items are occasionallypainted.Boxes produced of sikki known as pauti are given to daughters by parents on the occasion of their marriage. The boxes are used to hold sindoor, beautifiers, and jewellery.
